Those people of a less charitable disposition would immediately say "nothing" and while I suspect there are more exciting places in the world that does not mean that Stockport is a bad a place as you might think.

There is an old joke that the quickest way out of Manchester was drink, might still be true given the congestion on the roads nowadays. There is a good selection of pubs in Stockport and of course there is Robbies perhaps known to you as Robinsons (Frederic Robinson's Unicorn Brewery)

I've been a County supporter for more years than I care to remember, seeing good times (occasionally) and the bad times (all to often). One thing you have to realise about supporting a football team is that only one side can win the league and so on average your team will not so it is mainly about surviving the bad times and enjoying the rare good times to the limit.

County are now owned by the Stockport County Supporter's Trust, so I suppose I'm a (part) owner of a football club. I'll have to buy a sheepskin coat and a cigar and start talking rubbish about football, okay I do the last one already.
